The Danish Research Council for the Humanities (DRCH)
The Danish Research Council for the Humanities (DRCH) promotes significant research activities and education of researchers by providing funding for researcher-initiated projects within the sphere of humanities. The purpose of the financial support is to strengthen the quality, efficiency, mobility, and international co-operation and to ensure that important research results are disseminated and applied. Furthermore, the DRCH offers advice to the Danish Parliament and the Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation in issues concerning research in the Humanities. The Council is represented in many public and semi-public institutions within the research and education sectors and in a number of councils and boards.
The Council has 15 members, who are nominated by the Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation for a four year period of office and can carry out their activities for a maximum of six years.
